Safeguarding
We take safeguarding very seriously at AVSC. We believe that safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.
As an affiliated club, AVSC adopts the safeguarding and welfare policies set out by Swim England Wavepower. These can be read in full here.

AVSC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment.
All of our Coaches and required volunteers are subject to appropriate vetting procedures and a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced Check.

Leaving the Club
Any member wishing to leave the club should inform their coach and must send an email to [email protected] and [email protected] with the effective date they wish to stop their club membership. A notice period of 30 days is required. In special circumstances, such as a long-term medical condition or an injury, membership can be suspended for an agreed period of time.
