Training Balance
Those swimmers who show excellent improvement, attend recommended number of training sessions per week, attend target open meets away from home and meet criteria will be considered for movement to higher squads with more training hours.

Performance Criteria
Qualification
- Swimmers whom the lead coach feels has the potential to gain county QT’s in the future.
- Swimmers who fulfilled the criteria by committing to training and competing at open meets away from home
- Swimmers who were in PD2, PD1 and CD2 squad last season and who have demonstrated continued performance improvement.
- Swimmers who are in JD who have demonstrated continued performance and skill improvement, and meet all other criteria
- Swimmers who have committed fully to representing AVSC in relay teams during the previous season.
- Swimmers who do not, or cannot meet the attendance and competition requirements in RP1
- Swimmers 15+ who the lead coach feels can cope with the training level but are committed to other sports or do not want to compete

Training Commitment
Its is suggested:
- Swimmers 15yrs+ in the season: to attend a minimum of 5 sessions per week, preferably 6.
- Swimmers 13/14yrs in the season: to attend a minimum of 4 sessions per week, preferably 5.
Training Balance
- In order to ensure that swimmers attend key sessions & to provide a balanced weekly training programme the lead coach will recommend which sessions are the priority for each swimmer.
