Saturday 20th June saw Abingdon Vale Swimming Club (AVSC) hold its 3rd annual Vale Cup - an invitational team competition. Finders Keepers who sponsored the event welcomed Oxford,  4Shires (Chipping Norton) and Swindon to a very noisy, competitive and fun evening.

Boys and Girls were classed as U10, U12, U14 and Open age groups. The finale of the event was the final Squadron Relay with a girl and boy representing each category swimming freestyle making a 8x50m relay where the fortunes changed continuously.

Overall Results:
1st     Swindon Dolphin           142.5 points
2nd   Abingdon Vale                120 points
3rd    City of Oxford                  116.5 points
4th    4Shires                              105 points

Congratulations to Swindon Dolphin who received the Cup as winners for the 3rd year running, taking 1st place in 23 of the 49 events maintaining their early lead.  Abingdon, Oxford and 4Shires alternated their ranking during the evening.

Henry Brown, Lettings Manager of the Abingdon office said “Finders Keepers is delighted to support this local event, and the atmosphere was fantastic. The swimmers really got into the team spirit”
