Swimmers of the Month

June 08
Girls - Holly Chrisp
Boys - Harry Basterfield

May 08
Girls - Ella Kennedy
Boys - Sam Costello

April 08
Girls - Jess East
Boys - Jacob Yolland

March 08
Girls – Emma Walton
Boys –
Michael Fabes
After the club finishing 5th at the county championships our highest position in many, many years. We have selected the highest performing swimmers from the boys and girls. Micheal Fabes scored the most points out of all the boys by some way and scored more points that any other boy in recent years. Even although we have many high points scoring girls Emma came out on top with a massive 80 points (not including relay points won) closely followed by Imogen West and Olivia Law. Swimmers scoring big points have to be able to perform well across all strokes and all distances.

February 08

Jordan Barker
Jordan has worked very hard both attending well and focusing on improving all aspects of his swimming. Jordan asks lots of questions, listens, learns and always tries to put into practice all the coaching points he is given. A great swimmer to coach and a hard worker. Another boy From pre-development winning swimmer of the month...looks good for the future. Keep up the hard work.

Olivia Law
Olivia has shown everyone just what is achievable if you work hard and focus. Olivia has made history this year for the club by becoming the first female in the clubs history to finish in the overall top 3 at the County Distance Championships in the 800 F/c. Olivia backed that up with a 13yrs County Record in the 400 F/c and second in the 400 IM, that IM swim was also inside the old record. Consistent high attendance has given Olivia the ability to take on swimmers from the big clubs and consistently perform well across all strokes and distances.

January 08

Jack Croisdale
Jack moved up to pre-development 2 in January after increasing the sessions he attended in pre-dev 1, he attends nearly all training sessions and works hard, he is polite and enthusiastic,  he takes advice that is given and works on putting it into practice. He is determined to better himself and has risen to the challenges presented by moving squads. He also rose to the challenge of the Chiltern League by competing in several Butterfly events, individual and relays.

Emily Cackett
Emily is relatively new to the club but, has from day one has been determined to improve her strokes. She always asks relevant questions and looks for confirmation that she is doing practices correctly. Like Jack she attends nearly all training sessions and is usually early on poolside, she works hard and has risen to the challenge presented by moving to Comp Dev squad. Any questions or comments she makes are relevant and she always listens to the answers and then if necessary put it into practice whether it is about competitions or training.
