Aims of squad
The aims of this squad are to increase endurance and speed, cement technique in 4 strokes and IM using efficient turns and starts and finishes, and to take part in external competitions, gaining qualifying times for the County Championships

In order to belong to this squad, a swimmer must:
1) Attend 75% of available training.
2) Show ability to swim on the correct rests and turn around times, using spacing appropriate to the conditions, at the correct speed for the set.
3) Arrive at training sessions on time with all equipment and a drink, and be able to start loosening and stretching using their own intiative

Criteria for entry to Competitive Development Squad
These criteria are set as guidelines only for squad movement. Even if a swimmer fulfils the criteria, movement is dependant on the age of and maturity of the swimmer and squad space.

1) Must have achieved ASA National Teaching Plan Pre-Competition Level 2 standard test sets
2) Be ready to work towards Competitive Start Award
3) Have achieved 3 bronze 50 m flash times
4) Have an 100 IM time of less than 1.58.00

Current training times
Tuesday 7.45pm – 8.45pm Our Lady's School pool
Wednesday 6.30 – 8pm Radley College Pool
Saturday 730am – 8.45am Radley College Pool
Sunday 7.30am – 8.45am Radley College pool

In addition, early morning training 5.45 to 6.15 am (or a negotiated core hour from this) at Radley are available to swimmers already training at the other 4 sessions.
